'Keep', 'Pitch', and 'Donate - we've all been through the process over and over again with our clients. But WHERE to donate? This month's topic focuses on "Not for Profit Organizations". Leslie Tucker of The Children's Home Society (home pickups), Carole Splater of Charity Sharity (fabric donations) and Jayne Foley of the Assistance League's Fantastic Finds (resale shop) will be our featured panel experts.

Carole Splater has worked in retail, has taught communication at the college level, and has designed and implemented training for a large corporation. Her lifelong love is fabric, and about fourteen or so years ago she gathered together a dozen or so friends with the same interest to create the service organization called “Charity Sharity.”
Children's Home Society, Leslie Tucker
The Director of Development, Leslie Tucker of Children’s Home Society of Missouri has a degree in Liberal Arts with a minor of Management and Communications. She has eleven years experience working in marketing in the corporate arena with shoe and uniform manufacturing businesses. Ms. Tucker has provided leadership in fundraising with several social service agencies, a youth camp, and an auxiliary organization of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod in her 16 years of fundraising in the St. Louis region. She joined Children’s Home Society in 2010 and has grown their fundraising efforts to include a Major Giving Initiative which includes Major Giving and Planned Gifts and helped grow contributions through new donors and engagement by 22% over the past five years.
