A brief history about the things we use and how we dispose of them. This presentation includes information about how landfills and recycling centers work and what resources we have available locally to repurpose and recycle items that are no longer wanted or needed.

Margaret Lilly is the Waste Diversion Supervisor for the Saint Louis County Department of Public Health. She has 30 years of experience in the environmental field. Margaret’s passion is in education. Environmental issues are complex, having reliable information empowers people to make better decisions.
