Join Shawn and Karla for a direct conversation about modern resale strategies, tools for assessing and evaluating items, and a candid discussion about establishing realistic client expectations.
Shawn Lipe is Co-Owner and Gallery Director of The Refind Room in Brentwood MO. He provides fine art, jewelry, and furniture appraisals as a member of the Certified Appraisers Guild of America (CAGA), with an emphasis on European and American Mid-Century and contemporary design. He has held curatorial positions at The Krannert Art Museum, University of Illinois; The Wolfsonian Museum, Florida International University; and served as Adjunct Professor for the Glassblowing Studio in the Department of Art and Art History, University of Miami. He received both his B.A. in Comparative Literature and M.S. in Environmental Chemistry from SIUE.
Karla Schlueter is the Lead Business Development Coordinator for The Refind Room. She joined TRR in 2019 after serving as a project manager for Maritz. In addition to working with clients at The Refind Room, she provides independent interior design client consultations through Karla Marie Interiors and is a frequent content provider and a brand savvy design influencer.
